Like mother, like daughter! Sarah Palin took a short cut when it came to choosing an outfit for Sunday, Feb. 15’s Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Show — by heading into daughter Bristol Palin‘s closet!

Sarah, 51, arrived at New York’s Studio 8H wearing a glittering white mini dress and a pair of black heels. But eagle-eyed fashion commentators soon noticed that the politician’s outfit was not a new purchase — in fact her daughter Bristol, 24, had worn the exact same dress to the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in 2011!

Despite channeling her daughter’s fashion style, Sarah held her own when she contributed to an SNL sketch during the anniversary show, as part of a Q&A session hosted by Jerry Seinfeld.

During the sketch, Sarah asked Seinfeld how much the show would pay her to run for President, since it would provide them with so much material.

“No figure is too high Sarah,” Seinfeld replied.

“What if I were to choose Donald Trump as my running mate?” she replied.

“Sarah you’re teasing us, that’s not nice!” replied Seinfeld.

Sarah has been a long time contributor to the hit late night comedy sketch show. Tina Fey had a hugely popular skit in which she impersonated the politician during her vice-presidential campaign alongside John McCain in 2008, which culminated in a cameo from the woman herself.

Tell Us: What do you think of Sarah recycling her daughter’s outfit on the show? And (more importantly!) who wore it best?
